Upstate Curious grew out of Megan Brenn-White’s move upstate from NYC in 2016, when she left her 25-year career in marketing to pursue a lifelong passion for real estate and her enthusiasm for all things Hudson Valley and Catskills Today, Upstate Curious includes the Upstate Curious Team at Compass, the Curious Guesthouses, and The Belltower–all rooted in helping people find their place upstate, make special memories here, and support the people and small businesses that make this region so great.

Founded in 2019 by Megan Brenn-White, the Upstate Curious Team is a tight-knit crew of real estate pros obsessed with great design, the magic of the Hudson Valley and Catskills, and making the buying and selling process as seamless–and, dare we say, fun–as possible. We’re not your typical real estate agents. Sure, we’ve got the experience–over 1,500 happy clients, $1B+ in sales, and 120+ combined years in the game–but we also lead with humor, heart, and a deep love for what we do.

Upstate Curious Guesthouses started when Megan purchased her own creekside vacation home (yes, even living in the Hudson Valley merits a getaway!) in Sullivan County. Today, there are seven adorable Upstate Curious Guesthouses, each carefully selected for its location and character and filled with vintage and local pieces so that our friends, clients, and people visiting the region for the first time feel at home.
